Hike through El Fuerte<\/strong><\/h3>\n

In the center of town you can appreciate the attractive kiosk, the Municipal Palace, the House of Culture and the Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.<\/p>\n

Another activity to do in Mexico is the military construction that gave its name to the place.<\/p>\n

This fort is a replica of the original, which began its construction in 1608 under the order of Mart\u00ednez de Hurdaide, because the indigenous people of the place were too aggressive and came into conflict with the Spanish settlements.<\/p>\n

This construction was finished in 1610 and was completely walled, with walls 7 meters high.<\/p>\n

Currently, this place is a museum and from the top you can see the mighty Fuerte River.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n

El Fuerte guarda muchas historias y leyendas. Por ejemplo, recibi\u00f3 la visita de Venustiano Carranza a su cruce por la Sierra, en 1913, procedente de Parral. Tambi\u00e9n se dice que en este lugar naci\u00f3, en 1795, el legendario Zorro, Don Diego de la Vega, de quien algunos afirman, vivi\u00f3 los primeros diez a\u00f1os de su vida en este lugar.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
